Here are some of the best carnivore desserts I’ve used for weight loss over the last few years of my fat-loss journey.
With the holidays approaching—Thanksgiving in the US and Canada—desserts are everywhere, and many people worry about derailing progress. Finding carnivore-friendly dessert recipes you can tailor to your needs can make the season and the early months of your journey much more manageable.
Staying on track can be especially challenging if it’s your first year on the Carnivore diet.
These desserts can be a helpful bridge from sweet cravings to a fuller carnivore lifestyle. Early on, I relied on sweeter versions of these recipes frequently; now I rarely crave desserts the way I once did. They helped me progress without feeling deprived.
I started sharing carnivore dessert recipes on my YouTube channel about three years ago. Scroll down to see each recipe or watch the full video.
How Carnivore Dessert Recipes Can Help You Stay On Your Fat Loss Journey
Carnivore dessert recipes are a practical tool to move away from sugar and processed sweets while still enjoying treats that feel satisfying. Many of these recipes start sweeter and gradually reduce sweeteners, helping you adapt over time.
I don’t consider myself an ultra-strict carnivore; I transitioned to carnivore for health and now reserve low-carb or carnivore desserts mainly for special occasions. Transitioning from sugar to sweet substitutes and then to little or no sweetener takes time—don’t be hard on yourself. This is a journey.

My Preferred Sweeteners (If You Need Them)
Below are a few products and ingredients that helped me reduce cravings while transitioning away from sugar.
Liquid Stevia
I like drops because you can taper the amount slowly—going from ten drops to three, then one, then none over time.
Glycine Powder
Glycine isn’t a typical sweetener, but it has a pleasant sweet taste and works well as a bridge ingredient in animal-based desserts. I used erythritol, monk fruit, and allulose in the past, but I no longer use them. Still, do what works for your journey.
You do what you have to do for your journey.
When I make desserts for family, I sometimes use stevia for their portions and prepare a separate, unsweetened carnivore version for myself.
Let’s get started with the recipes.
1. Carnivore Instant Pot Cheesecake
This simple cheesecake packs a lot of flavor with just a few ingredients: cream cheese, butter, eggs, heavy whipping cream and flavoring like coffee or lemon. Mix the ingredients and cook in an Instant Pot or crockpot. The result is creamy and satisfying without a lot of fuss.
A printable recipe card and step-by-step instructions are available on my blog and I also demonstrate the process in a video.
2. Keto Blueberry Cheesecake
This cheesecake uses brick cream cheese and heavy whipping cream. You can add glycine for sweetness or skip it for a stricter carnivore version. I made a pork rind crust once—optional and not necessary. Chill it in the fridge to set, then portion into jars for easy portion control. Blueberries make this one more keto than strict carnivore, so it’s a good choice for special occasions.
3. Carnivore Birthday Cake
This cake blends ideas from egg white bread and oopsie cake to create a light, fluffy birthday cake using liquid egg whites, egg white powder, true lemon, and optional glycine. Baking two thinner pans makes it easier to layer and frost. It’s an elegant, low-carb option that still feels celebratory.
4. Frozen Coffee Dessert
A simple, airy dessert made from strong coffee, whipped egg whites, and whipped heavy cream. It’s light, fluffy, and perfect when you want a coffee-flavored treat that feels like dessert without loads of carbs or added sugar.
5. Butter Bites (Carnivore Candy or Carnivore Crack)
Butter bites are simple to make and ideal for strict carnivores. Brown butter until golden, remove from heat, include the browned bits, and pour into molds or a pan to freeze. You can also whip the brown butter until light and fluffy before freezing for a different texture. Store in the freezer and enjoy as a quick snack or flavor boost.
6. Carnivore Air Fryer Crème Brûlée
This air fryer version of crème brûlée uses egg yolks, heavy cream, a little vanilla, salt, and optional cinnamon. Prep time is minimal and it cooks in about 25 minutes—then chill. For best results, maintain water in the bottom of the air fryer to create a gentle water bath and prevent burning. The texture is rich and indulgent.
7. Easy Carnivore Jello and Cream
This dessert recalls childhood jello and ice cream but made carnivore-friendly. Use flavored herbal tea, packaged tea, or coffee as the base, steep, then bloom gelatin and mix. Chill and serve with whipped cream for a collagen-rich, nostalgic treat that’s easy to customize.
8. Kiltz’s Carnivore Ice Cream
This simple ice cream recipe, inspired by Dr. Kiltz, uses just a few ingredients and can be made with or without sweetener. It’s creamy and satisfying—a great way to end a meal without breaking your dietary goals.
Carnivore Desserts Help You Stick to a Carnivore Lifestyle
Whether you follow keto or carnivore, these recipes provide flexible, low-carb dessert options that support weight-loss goals. They can be adapted for strict carnivore eating or relaxed, keto-friendly versions for social occasions. The key is consistency and finding recipes that satisfy without undoing your progress. These are some of the best carnivore-friendly desserts I’ve found and used on my journey.
